For this show Anastassija visited the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film DOK and shares her thoughts about 7 films that impressed her the most: «Yanuni», «Queens of Joy», «Kyiv Cake», «You Look Nothing Alike», «Austroschwarz», «Fantastique», «Mary Anning». The films raise different questions like:
– identity — national, racial and gender
– settler-colonialism and mother language
– young female breadwinners who follow their passion.
The characters come from different parts of the world: Amazonian forests in Brazil, Kurdistan occupied by Turkey, Ukrainian cities, Guinea, English seashore and Austria.
